Professor integrates AI to reshape sports analytics, align with university's 'strategic direction'

From player performance to ticket pricing, artificial intelligence is reshaping sports — and UCF is putting that technology directly into the classroom. Dr. Younghan Lee, a sports analytics professor at UCF, is actively working with international technology firm ChoRocksoft AI. A small firm located in Seoul, South Korea, ChoRocksoft AI is focused on developing AI tools that analyze a range of topics, including fan behavior, pricing, athlete performance and injury risk.

UCF Athletics and Orlando Health partner for school supply drive

UCF Athletics and Orlando Health teamed up Tuesday at John Euliano Park to support local education, as student-athletes are collecting supplies through the week to fill more than 150 backpacks for District 5 elementary schools. The initiative, a collaboration with the nonprofit A Gift for Teaching, serves as the spring Day of Action for the ongoing partnership between the university and the healthcare system.

After a rollercoaster ride of quarterbacks for UCF’s football team, it seemed to have found its starter, a redshirt freshman quarterback by the name of Dylan Rizk.Rizk’s journey to becoming the hero of the annual Space Game started at American Heritage High School in Delray Beach. He saw his first start at QB during his sophomore year, where he started eight varsity games. According to 247Sports, Rizk completed 69.1 percent of his passes for 2,075 yards.
